Welcome to Chimney Hill Farm !

Located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Chimney Hill Farm is just 30 minutes east of Washington DC, and 30 minutes south of Annapolis.

Chimney Hill Farm, in business for over 21 years, is a unique, private, full-service training facility specializing in the sport of dressage.   You can enjoy quiet and peaceful times with your horse there,  or you can participate in lessons, clinics, or shows.

Resident owner, trainer and instructor Sharon Brandes Myers is committed to offering  proven and effective teaching methods to meet the needs of both horse and riders.   She is highly dedicated to providing professional riding instruction that is educational, personally rewarding, and fun.

We provide an environment on the farm where the physical and mental needs of every horse can be met.   This ensures healthier and happier horses, as well as safer and more enjoyable conditions for everyone.   While we desire to remain a small in-house full training operation, we welcome trailer-in lessons.

Both staff and students alike enjoy competing at USDF and Potomac Valley Dressage Association shows as well as schooling shows throughout the show season. There are a number of both rated and schooling horse shows located within a few hours from the farm as well as an annual Potomac Valley Dressage Association schooling show on the farm.    Additionally, the Prince Georges Equestrian Center, the site of numerous shows throughout the year, is only 15 minutes away.  We also offer clinics during the year with former Olympian and Pan Am Games medallist Dr. Cesar Parra.
